What are the criteria for participating?

The competition is open to participants aged 15 and over, from all countries, ethnic origins, sizes, genders and sexual orientations.

What are the selection dates?

Registration is now open on the website. You can send in your application and you will receive an e-mail when the dates of the next selections are available.

Is there a registration fee?

The registration fee for the Top Model Europe contest is 39€ for all countries except :

Switzerland (50CHF)
United Kingdom (£35)

Do we need sponsors?

Candidates are not required to seek sponsors during the competition.

We do not recommend that models take part in a contest asking for sponsors.

Some contests can ask you for up to 2.000 euros in sponsorship - that's abuse!

How do I dress, style my hair and make-up for the selection stage?

For the selection step, keep it natural: think of a simple hairstyle and, for the girls, a light make-up.

Show up in a simple black outfit (T-shirt with pants, jeans, leggings, skirt, etc.). To enhance your silhouette, choose a close-fitting outfit.

Girls prefer high-heeled shoes.

A detailed e-mail with practical details and advice is sent to candidates before each step of the contest.

How does the selection process work?

Selection - Jury vote

Candidates are evaluated by the jury. The evaluation is made on the basis of the photos and information sent by the candidate and, according to the choice of the organizer and/or the candidate, on the basis of one of the following options :

presentation of the model at a casting
presentation of the model with a video presentation

How does the jury select candidates?

Models are required to be photogenic, authentic and natural.

During the selection step, the jury places particular importance on naturalness, beauty of the eyes (a very expressive look), symmetry of the face, poise, personality, style - many criteria that can sometimes attract more than beauty itself.

At the end of the selection step, and at every step of the competition, the jury will give a positive opinion for models considered to have potential for the fashion world.

Why is there a public vote?

If a model regularly has to convince an agency, casting director, client, photographer or fashion designer to work with her/him, it's important to remember that they choose models with the final objective in mind: the creation of an advertisement or fashion show to promote the sale of a product to the public . .

Models are therefore always chosen for their qualities that might appeal to the public.

At Top Model Europe, the jury's vote is supplemented by a public vote on the Internet. Voting is free.

I'm qualified, will I receive training?

Yes, finalists receive professional “Models” training.

This includes learning basic catwalk techniques (posture and gait during a fashion show), as well as actor and comedian training techniques (relaxation, spontaneity, sensitivity) that help reveal each model's personality. It also includes exercises inspired by behavioral psychology, enabling the model to overcome any blockages through better stress management, self-image and self-confidence.

All training is provided by professionals from the artistic and fashion worlds, and supervised by the competition psychologist.

Who are the jury members?

During the events, the jury is made up of fashion photographers and designers, model agencies, advertising agencies, casting directors, Fashion Week organizers and other fashion professionals. The jury is chaired by Fabio Anderson, Director of Top Model Europe.
